What am I doing in 2022?
Am I running for office again? Who am I supporting, Who am I working for?
The past 2 years sure have flown by quickly, I guess a pandemic, lockdowns and constant fighting for freedom and liberty will do that.
But a lot of people keep asking me what I’m doing, whether or not I’ll be running for office again, and how they can support me. So it’s about time to fill in the blanks and let the cat out of the bag. In 2022, I will not be seeking election to any public office, and will not be putting my name forward for any internal position within the Libertarian Party either.
In 2019, when I accepted the LPNH Candidate of the Year Award, I was clear in my acceptance speech that I didn’t run for the sake of my own ego, or to further my own political career, and that I was always a reluctant candidate. I’ve always felt I wasn’t a suitable representative of Libertarian ideals in the public election space, and always challenged those who asked me to run to find someone better. When I accepted that award, and indeed when I initially accepted past nominations, I was clear that the purpose would be to build infrastructure and gain the experience necessary to help someone better than myself accomplish those tasks down the road.
In 2022, someone else has stepped to the plate, and taken the mantle to be the face of the New Hampshire Libertarian movement in electoral politics.
Jeremy Kauffman, the CEO and Founder of LBRY, Founder of Odysee, and Board member of The Free State Project, is seeking the Libertarian Nomination for US Senate in New Hampshire, our ballot access race, and our top of the ticket chance to educate voters about Libertarian ideas.
Jeremy is someone I’ve come to know as a friend and worked with as a colleague, and I’m proud to lend him not only my endorsement but my assistance. I will be volunteering to work on Jeremy’s campaign and heading up the Ballot Access and petitioning effort to help see the cause through to its goals.
